Total cooking and preparation time approximately 10 minutes

Serves 2

Ingredients

2 large sirloin or rump steaks
1 tsp garlic, crushed
½ tsp salt
½ tsp coarse ground black pepper
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp Danish Blue cheese, crumbled
3 tbsp white wine
¼ pint double cream
1 tbsp olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat the grill to the highest setting.
  2. Sprinkle the steak on both sides with the garlic, salt and pepper.
  3. Drizzle with the olive oil and grill on high for 3-5 minutes each side depending on how you like it done.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan, add the cheese, wine and cream, and mix to form a smooth sauce.
  5. Serve the steak with the sauce poured over the top, with green beans and mashed potatoes.
