Ingredients
1 lb lean minced beef
2 egg whites
1 small or ½ large onion, grated
½ cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp cornflour
4 fresh green chillies, finely chopped
2 tbsp garlic, crushed
2 tbsp dried coriander
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
3 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Method
- Preheat the grill to the highest setting.
- Combine all the ingredients except the olive oil together in a large bowl.
- Shape the mixture together into 2 inch diameter balls and squeeze firmly in
the hands to compress.
- Press down on each patty with the palm of the hand to flatten into a disk.
- Brush the patties all over with olive oil and grill for about 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve with lime courgettes
and spicy potato wedges.
