Ingredients
¼ pint fruity red wine
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
2 bay leaves
1½ cups brown sugar
1 tin prunes, drained
1 tin pears, drained
1 tin blackberries, drained
1 tin orange segments, drained
Method
- Put the wine, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf and sugar in a
saucepan and mix well.
- Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove the bay leaves and discard, then pour into a large bowl and place
in the refrigerator for about half and hour, until cooled.
- Add the fruit, put back in the refrigerator, and leave for about another
hour, until cool.
- Serve with clotted cream icecream or crème fraiche.
