Ingredients
8 oz spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp grated parmesan
For the meatballs:
1 small or ½ large onion, grated
1 tsp garlic, crushed
1 lb minced lamb
1 tbsp plain flour
1 tbsp dried mixed herbs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp coarse ground black pepper
For the sauce:
½ pint passata
1 tbsp dried basil
Method
- Put all the meatball ingredients into a bowl and kneed with your hands
until well combined.
- Combine the sauce ingredients in a large saucepan on medium heat and bring
to the boil.
- Add the meatballs and turn them gently in the sauce to ensure they are
covered.
- Cover the pan and cook for about another 10 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling water
according to the instructions on the packet until al dente.
- Arrange the spaghetti on the plates, top with the meatballs, sprinkle on
the parmesan, and serve with ciabatta rolls.
