Serves 2

Ingredients

½ lb lean pork, cut into stir-fry strips
½ tsp salt
½ tsp coarse ground black pepper
2 tbsp sunflower oil
1 tbsp ginger, grated
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
½ Savoy cabbage
2 cups beansprouts
1 green pepper, cut into strips
1 red pepper, cut into strips
1 lb pre-cooked egg noodles

For the seasoning mix:
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground white pepper

Method

  1. Mix the seasoning ingredients together in a jug and set aside.
  2. Season the pork with the salt and black pepper.
  3. Heat the oil in a very hot wok and stir-fry the pork for about 3 minutes until browned, then set aside.
  4. Add the ginger, garlic and cabbage to the pan and stir-fry for about a minute.
  5. Add the beansprouts and peppers and stir-fry for another minute.
  6. Return the pork to the pan, then add the noodles and seasoning mix and stir-fry for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  7. Serve with prawn crackers.
