Ingredients
3 lb pork loin
2 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp water
4 tbsp apple sauce
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220oC gas mark 7.
- Put the pork in a roasting pan, rub all over with the oil and sprinkle on
the salt.
- Place in the oven and cook for about 30 minutes.
- Turn the oven down to 190oC / gas mark 5, cook for about
another 1 hour 10 minutes, then set aside to rest.
- Cut the crackling off the pork and set aside for later use, then carve the
pork and divide between four plates.
- Top with the apple sauce and serve with stuffing made from a packet,
roast parsnips, carrots, cabbage, mashed potato and the
Bisto gravy.
