Ingredients
2 tbsp ghee or vegetable oil
4 large chicken breast fillets, diced
1 large or 2 small onions, halved and sliced
8 oz closed-cup mushrooms, halved
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 green peppers, chopped
6 tbsp balti paste
½ pint chicken stock
2 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp dried coriander leaves
Method
- Heat the oil in a very hot karahi or wok and stir-fry the chicken, onion,
mushrooms and garlic for about 3 minutes, until the chicken has turned white.
- Add the green pepper and balti paste and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Stir in the stock, garam masala and coriander.
- Lower the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Serve with plain rice and naan bread.
