Ingredients
1 oz butter
8 oz button mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp plain flour
¾ pint chicken stock
1 tbsp dried parsley
1 tsp garlic granules
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp coarse ground black pepper
¼ pint single cream
Method
- Melt the butter in a saucepan on a medium heat and fry the mushrooms for
about 5 minutes, until
softened.
- Stir in the flour, then add the rest of the ingredients and stir
again.
- Bring to a low boil, lower the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes
stirring occasionally, until thickened.
- Serve with bread rolls.
