Ingredients
8 oz asparagus
2 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 fresh red chilli, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely chopped
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp light soy sauce sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp water
¾ tsp light brown sugar
Method
- Trim the asparagus if necessary.
- Heat the oil in a very hot wok and stir-fry the garlic, chilli, ginger and
sesame seeds for about 30 seconds.
- Add the asparagus an stir-fry for about another 2 minutes, until tender.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir-fry for about another 30 seconds,
until heated through.
- Serve with crusty baguette.
